Where will Orange Ribbon Walk 2017: Rise Against Racism be held?

Orange Ribbon Walk 2017: Rise Against Racism will be held at Esplanade Park.

What time does the walk start?

What is the participant’s entitlement?

Participants will receive an exclusive event t-shirt, sponsor’s products and offers.

What if I am unable to collect my Event T-shirt?

You may authorise someone to collect yourEvent T-shirt on your behalf. Do download and complete the Authorisation Letter here and bring it along for the collection.

Will I get a finisher’s medal upon completion of the race?

There will not be any medal for the fun walk.

Is there a cut-off time for the 3.8km fun walk?

Yes. The cut-off time for the 3.8km walk is 2 hours.

If I am unable to attend the walk even though I have registered for it, can my friend take over the walk slot?

No, the walk category is strictly non-transferable.

Can I skate or cycle during the walk?

Participants are not allowed to skate or cycle during the run.

Can I bring along my pets?

Participants are not allowed to bring their pets along for the run.

Where can I leave my belongings?

Baggage deposit services will be provided at the event site. However, participants are advised to pack light and refrain from bringing valuables to the event.

Will there be markers along the routes?

Yes, there will be distance and directional markers along the route to guide the participants. There will also be marshals deployed along the route.

What if I am injured during the run and unable to finish the run?

Participants can approach any of the marshals or medical personnel along the route to seek assistance

Will there be any road or lane closures?

No, there will be no road or lane closures for the event.

Any wet weather plans?

The Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the walk in the event of inclement weather. Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without refund of registration fees.

 

Registration Details

What if I do not receive the confirmation slip after my registration?

This could be due to a variety of reasons as follows:

Your registration was not successful and therefore the confirmation slip was not rendered.

There could be an error in your email at the point of registration so the confirmation slip was unable to be sent to the correct email address.

The email has been clocked by your mail server and/or is treated as spam.

Can I request to change the size of the running t-shirt during the Event T-shirt Collection?

No. We seek your understanding that changing of sizes will not be entertained once your registration details are submitted and confirmed. However, please be assured that the size selection made based on the sizing chart we have displayed should provide you with the most accurate fitting.

Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?

No. Registrations are non-refundable if the participants choose not to participate.

How do I know if my registration is successful?

You will receive a confirmation slip via email upon successful registration.

When is the closing date for registration?

The closing date for the registration is 31st October 2017, 2359hrs. No registration will be entertained after this date.

However, the Organising Committee reserves the right to close the registration earlier should the participation rates reach the intended capacity before the registration closing date.

What is the mode of registration and payment?

Only credit card payment via VISA or MasterCard is accepted.

How do I register as a group?

You can register as a group if there are 20 pax or more participants. Please call our hotline at 6281 1378. This hotline operates from Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm, excluding eve of public holidays and public holidays or send an email to orangeribbon@onepeople.sg. for more details.

#Buddy – Must include 1 participant from another ethnic group, regardless of gender.
